A new AIO watercooling kit from Silverstone: the Hailstone 360. This is a new reference designed to cool large processors with a significant number of cores. Typically, this reference is fully compatible with AMD Threadripper CPUs, for example.
Hailstone 360: a Threadripper-compatible AIO!
With this watercooling kit, Silverstone focuses on a niche sector: that of high-end processors. Indeed, this kit features an enlarged copper base to cover the surface of an IHS of AMD Threadripper Pro CPUs… But this AIO also offers support for mainstream AMD and Intel sockets. So, in addition to sTR5/TR4 sockets, it will be AM5/AM4 and LGA-1851/1700/1200/115x compatible.
In addition to its adapted copper base, the kit features a pump to which fans can be added. This model is based on the IceMyst system, and several IMF70 fans can be added to cool elements located around the socket.
Otherwise, the brand uses industrial-grade fans, with three FHx120 fans. The latter adopt a solid construction with LCP blades to ensure a certain rigidity in operation. Indeed, these fans adopt a wide speed range and will be able to climb high in the towers. We’re talking about 3,000 rpm at full speed. This is potentially noisy, but above all it generates an airflow of 95.1 CFM and a static pressure of 5.2 mmH2O.
This assembly blows over a conventional aluminum radiator, 28 mm thick. Normally, the fan should have no trouble pushing air through it! Finally, there are two 46 cm-long pipes.
Now, the question of price remains to be resolved, but this has not yet been communicated.
