While we were browsing Gigabyte’s website, we noticed that the brand was listing its X870E and X870 motherboards. In all, we’ve already found eight references, ranging from high-end models to more rational ones.
X870E – X870: eight boards listed on the Gigabyte website!
As you can see, Gigabyte’s website is already displaying references for X870E/X870 motherboards. Here we find eight models:
- X870E :
- Aorus Master
- Aorus Elite WiFi 7
- Aorus Pro Ice
- Aorus Pro
- X870 :
- Aorus Elite WiFi 7
- Gaming X WiFi 7
- Eagle WiFi 7
- Aorus Elite WiFi 7
At present, the top-of-the-range model on display is the Aorus Master, with a total of 20 phases of 110A power. On the memory side, there’s DDR5 RAM support up to 8200 MT/s, all for a capacity of 256 GB. There are four M.2 slots, one of which is PCIe 5.0 x4, and one PCIe 5.0 x16 slot. The other two are in 4.0 x4 and 3.0 x1. Of course, all features are present: tool-free M.2 SSD mounting, graphics card quick-release button, etc.
Otherwise, the Aorus Pro Ice model is a white adaptation of the Aorus Pro.
Finally, the Eagle WiFi 7 model remains the most entry-level card, but it seems to offer everything necessary for a good configuration, with support for 8000 MT/s DDR5 memory, its reinforced PCIe 5.0 x16 with quick release, its three M.2s, etc. On the CPU side, we find 14 2 2-phase power supplies, all mounted on a six-layer PCB. Finally, rear connectivity features WiFi 7, 2.5 GbE Ethernet and dual USB4 type C.
In short, this is a fine example of what these future motherboards will offer. For the moment, only Gigabyte has put its motherboard datasheets online. This is not the case for ASRock or MSI.
