Alphacool announces new waterblocks for server platforms. The brand unveils its ES 1 Series, with a model designed for 1U racks.
ES 1 Series: a block for 1U racks !
With this waterblock, we inevitably find a reference with limited height. After all, a 1U rack isn’t very thick, just 44.45 mm high. This translates into dimensions of 70 (W) x 70 (D) x 26 (H) mm. The special feature of this model is that entry and exit points are located on the edge of the block, rather than on the top as is traditionally the case. This is something to bear in mind when installing this model.
As for the rest, the construction is based on nickel-plated copper, with an acetal top cover. Alphacool also talks about the cold plate and its micro fins. These are 0.4 mm thick and spaced 4.04 mm apart. In terms of installation, this model can be mounted on Intel LGA-1700 and AMD AM5 sockets.
