When we discover motherboards based on the future Intel Z890 chipset, it seems that some manufacturers are determined to release or re-release their top-of-the-range models dedicated to overclocking! So, after the AORUS Tachyon ICE, we learn from bl4ckdot on site that ASRock will be bringing out its OCF model for “OC Formula”. It’s important to remember that the last model in this series was based on the Z590 chipset!
But there’s a double surprise here: ASRock will be offering not just one card, but two models. The first will feature two DDR5 memory slots, while the second will be CAMM2-compatible, the next standard for memory. It’s also worth noting that both motherboards will feature a latch for easy removal of the graphics card.
From the first photos, it’s clear that both boards will feature numerous tools dedicated to overclocking, whether for the processor or the memory. As far as the power supply stage is concerned, it will be made up of 27 phases, and the board will have 6 M2 slots, including one wired in 5.0 x4.
No further information has been released about these OCFs, and the ASRock stand is pretty much locked down, so you’ll have to be patient to find out more!
