Cougar renews its product catalog by offering two new power supplies. In the program, we find the Polar 2X, blocks of strong powers showing, respectively, 1050W and 1200W! Moreover, we can count on a nice certification!
Polar 2X: 1050W and 1200W power supplies!
With its power supplies, Cougar offers white and gray blocks, which is finally consistent with the name of the series. However, we will pay attention to the dimensions since we are talking about references with a depth of 18 cm!
From an electrical point of view, these models have a single 12V rail of 87.5A (1050W) and 100A (1200W). Internally, we have the right to 100% Japanese capacitors and an LLC design with a voltage conversion via DC-to-DC converter. On the protection side, the power supplies benefit from UVP,OCP, SCP,OVP,OTP and OPP. Finally, the performance should be good since we find a certification 80+ Platinum.
On the ventilation side, a 135 mm mill with hydro-dynamic bearing is present. The latter benefits from a semi-passive operation up to 40% load!
Finally, the connectivity is consequent and will allow to feed any configuration. We will have the right to a 24-pin ATX , two EPS12V 4+4 pins and seven PCIe 6+2 pins. Finally, the peripheral part displays twelve SATA and four Molex. We will not forget to mention the unique 12VHPWR of 65 cm length.
Finally, all that remains is to know the price, which has not yet been communicated.
This way to the Cougar datasheet !
