Sapphire has unveiled two new cards with a GPU from the world of laptops. Indeed, the brand presents its RADEON 6700 Pulse and… A model without a real name. We also note the strange reference without the “RX” in front. But what are we dealing with?
RADEON 6700: a card from the mobile world!

In fact, the chip used for these new cards is already known since it is an RX 6700M GPU. According to Videocardz, this new model unveiled by Sapphire shares the same characteristics as its mobile counterpart. We find 36 Compute Unit and 2308 stream processors. On the memory side, we are dealing with an original configuration: 10 GB of GDDR6 on a 160-bit bus. In terms of configuration, this chip is right between an RX 6650 XT and an RX 6700 XT. The first one has 2048 SP against 2560 SP for the second one.
However, the main difference with the mobile card concerns the much higher GPR on the desktop version. Here, it goes from 135W to 220W, quite an increase.
As far as the frequency is concerned, obviously, the two Sapphire custom models are not overclocked from the factory. Both cards have a base frequency of 2230 MHz and a boost of 2495 MHz. For VRAM, we are at 16 Gbps.

Finally, the cards presented by Sapphire have a single 8-pin PCIe power connector. Including the PCIe slot of the motherboard, we can expect a maximum power consumption of 225W.
Now we just need to know who this model is intended for. However, the card does not seem to be intended for the OEM market, nor for the APAC (Asia-Pacific) market. The price should be around 570 € with a launch on June 9th.
