This morning, a little tour at FSP which announces a new range of power supplies. On the program, the manufacturer offers us its Hydro GT Pro, a series of two semi-modular blocks.
Hydro GT Pro : semi-modular power supplies from FSP !
With this series, the brand offers us quite classic power supplies. They land with powers of 850W and 1000W while having a certification 80+ Gold. The management of cables is semi-modular, certainly, some will remain attached to the block, nevertheless, it remains essential cables for the installation of a PC. We are thinking in particular of the 24-pin ATX or the EPS12V for the CPU.
Internally, the brand opts for quality components as evidenced by the presence of Japanese capacitors. Otherwise, this model is based on an LLC design with an active PFC offering a power correction factor ≥90%. Otherwise, we are treated to a single 12V rail of 70.83A (850W) and 83.33A (1000W). From a protection point of view, we find: the OCP, OVP, OPP, SCP and OTP. Finally, the ventilation is entrusted to a fan with semi-passive operation up to 30% load.
Before going on to the price, a word about the on-board connectivity:

We have arrived at the selling price which is $119 for the 850W version. The 1000W model will be more expensive: $139!
