Since November, the price of graphics cards has risen by around 15% worldwide. A colleague has taken on the difficult and tedious task of recording the prices of the cheapest cards in different regions of the world—Europe, Asia, and America—over several consecutive months. We applaud this work, as it provides an overview of global price trends over several months and on a global scale. Overall, the price of graphics cards has risen by an average of 15%, with the RTX 5090 and RTX 5070 Ti showing the highest percentage increases!
With a 15% increase in the price of graphics cards, the RTX 5070 Ti and RTX 5090 weigh the most!Â

Broadly speaking, all regions are facing these increases, but not in the same way. For example, in Brazil and Australia, the increases are less significant: 6.3% in Brazil compared to 7.9% in Australia. On the other hand, Germany and India are the hardest hit countries with increases of 22.1% and 21.3% respectively.
In detail, the RTX 5070 Ti and RTX 5090 show the largest price increases, with increases of 25% and 31.6% worldwide. In both cases, if you are an Indian buyer, your wallet must be suffering at the moment, as the 5070 Ti is up 39% in price there, compared to 54% for the RTX 5090. Furthermore, if India is less well supplied and demand remains high, we have an explanation.
On the AMD side, we really have two schools of thought, with the RX 9060 Series on one side and the RX 9070 Series on the other. In the first case, the upward trend is most significant, with more than 12.5% for the RX 9060 XT 8 GB and 14.5% for the RX 9060 XT 16 GB. On the other hand, the RX 9070 and RX 9070 XT show price increases of 7% and 7.5% respectively. In Brazil, the RX 9070 XT has even seen a price drop of 9%, which is quite something!
On the Intel side, the Arc B570 shows a small price increase of only 3.8% compared to 10.7% for the B580. The case of the B570 is unusual, as this model has seen its price drop in Australia, Canada, India, Brazil (by a significant 12%), and Poland.
Given the situation, Intel cards seem to be a good choice for entry-level machines, while we would tend to recommend the RX 9000 series for building more powerful PCs. On the NVIDIA side, the situation is tense, and the Chameleon cards are the hardest hit by these price increases.
