Xiaomi to enter the mini-PC market

It’s been a while since we’ve seen that Xiaomi is trying to get into the PC market. We have seen their excellent laptops, gaming monitors worthy of attention … Now there is an offer of mini-PC with several formats. Several photos have leaked with products that are between what Intel does with its NUC and Mac Mini or more “open” products with a format that is yet to be defined but offering a more substantial volume (to allow the use of a graphics card?).

According to the information of Wccftech, the mini-PCs approaching the Nuc format will have a configuration around the APU AMD Ryzen 7 6800H with a Radeon 680M iGPU, a memory of 16 GB, a 512 GB SSD.

Xiaomi: and now mini-PCs

The Xiaomi Host PC (name leaked on Weibo) should be a barebone kit type product, i.e. with only one power supply unit which is confirmed to be an XM22AL5X unit with a nominal power of 100W. This power would obviously greatly limit the hardware that could be embedded. But a priori the chassis could allow users to upgrade this SFF power supply to use a dedicated graphics card of small size (2 slots). For the moment, the pictures show that no motherboard is delivered with this barebone. If this information is true, it could mean that we are moving towards a non-proprietary format for these (mini ITX?).
