As you know, the launch date of the future Ryzen 7000 series is getting closer. Several sources mention a first presence at the Gamescom and an official launch a few days later (AMD is expected to officially unveil its new series on August 29 at a special event). The new processors would then be available for mid-September at your favorite retailers. A new step seems to have been taken since Videocardz has unearthed a picture of a box version of a future Ryzen 9. Prices on some Ryzen 7000 references complete the leak. Ryzen 7000 box

Future Ryzen 7000: a box and prices revealed

The image of the final box comes from an internal presentation at AMD. The packaging is specific to Ryzen 9 (so the top of the range). Finally, the prices are mentioned and seem to stick with the previous rumors on the subject. Thus, the Ryzen 9 7950X and Ryzen 9 7900X would be positioned at prices above $ 500 what we already found on the Ryzen 5000. However, an increase is to be expected compared to the old range. Even if we have to be very careful with this latest information, it is whispered that the delta between the old Ryzen 5000 range and the 7000 should remain modest. Again, it is difficult to say if this rumor is serious or if it is not part of AMD’s communication strategy. So we could be looking at a price increase of $30 to $50 USD which could be due to the higher cost of 5nm wafers from TSMC.
