A little official confirmation from AMD regarding the brand’s future RX 9060 XT. Via X, the company has shared an image revealing the announcement date for its future RX 9060 XT. Clearly, an event is being organised for May 21, and we’re expecting the Reds to present their new model. What’s more, as with the RX 9070 series, there will be no official design.

RX 9060 XT: announcement on May 21, no official design?

RX 9060 XT ComputexOn its X account, AMD has published the teaser image above, with a date of May 21. With this image, the company is indicating that it will be unveiling its future in gaming, AI PCs and more. In short, with an illustration of a graphics card, there’s no need to insist on what it will or won’t present, but we’re sure that the little 9060 XT will be unveiled there.

And there’s one little detail to keep in mind here: the words “Artistic rendering. Not available for purchase”. Broadly speaking, it’s reasonable to expect that the Reds won’t feature a reference card, as was the case with the RX 9070 series. This worries us, since without an original AMD card, the guarantee of MSRP compliance melts like snow in the sun. As we’ve said before, more than two months after the launch of the RX 9070s, none of them are meeting their MSRP, and this situation is likely to recur. And it’s all the more unfortunate given that this model is aimed at lower price brackets.

Finally, as a reminder, the card will be equipped with a Navi 44 GPU featuring 2048 stream processors, a 128-bit memory bus and 8 or 16 GB of GDDR6 VRAM. However, this series would also benefit from a full x16 PCIe bus, unlike the RTX 5060 series, which is x8. To be continued.
