Newoverclocking records for ASUS graphics cards. Indeed, Safedisk is making a name for himself on the OC scene with the brand’s RTX 5090 ROG Astral. No fewer than six new records were set, including four absolute world records in all categories. In short, there’s a big score here!

RTX 5090 ROG Astral used in six new overclocking records!

RTX 5090 ROG AstralThe Astral version of the RTX 5090 is clearly no small card. In fact, it’s a highly customized ASUS model featuring a large power supply stage. What’s more, the PCB is customized, as is its equally imposing cooling system. Admittedly, in the cases we’re interested in, the South Korean overclocker Safedisk has removed it, but this is to say that ASUS has worked on every aspect of its card.

In short, as far as results are concerned, we learn that records have been broken on :

It’s worth noting that on GPUPi, Safedisk may not have taken first place overall, but it did come out on top in the 1x GPU and RTX 5090 global categories, which is no mean feat!

We should also point out that, depending on the test, the configuration used was not the same. On Port Royal, FireStrike and the two Unigine tests, the card was used with an i9 14900KF, while on Time Spy we found a Threadripper Pro 7995WX. Finally, on GPUPI, a Ryzen 9 9950X was at work. Here, unlike the graphics card (which ran on nitrogen), cooling was provided by a watercooling system.

You can also find our test of the watercooled version here. You can also find a test of its aircooling equivalent at this address, this time on an RTX 5080!

This announcement hurts the Kokoro of our friend Baron, who denounces the use of liquid nitrogen to cool the card as “cheating” (which it isn’t) 🤣
