The rumor of RTX 50 Super’s early arrival is nothing new. It has resurfaced a little more in recent hours. While the RTX 50 Desktop range can now be considered complete with the launch of the small RTX 5050, it seems difficult to foresee other references. NVIDIA now seems to be focussing on the refresh of its RTX 50 range with the SUPER variants, scheduled for launch around CES 2026 (January 2026). So we’ll have RTX 5070 Super, 5070 Ti Super and a 5080 Super already hinted at.Reliable leaker Kopite7kimi has already detailed the forthcoming RTX 5080 Super and now he’s tackling the range below by revealing the specs of the next 5070 and 5070 Ti SUPER. Obviously, even if the source is generally very reliable, bear in mind that Nvidia has a habit of modifying or even upsetting certain releases to counter the competition. In any case, here’s the information we have :
RTX 5070 Super, leaked details :
This new RTX5070 Super is expected to use the GB205-400-A1 GPU. This die will feature 6,400 CUDA cores, a modest increase of 256 cores over the GeForce RTX 5070. In terms of memory, the RTX 5070 SUPER will feature 18 GB GDDR7 at 28 Gbit/s, with a 192-bit interface. It will therefore offer the same bandwidth of 672 GB/s as the GeForce RTX 5070, but with VRAM capacity increased to 18 GB instead of 12 GB. In terms of power consumption, this card will require 275 W, an increase of 15 W compared to the GeForce RTX 5070. For the moment, no information has been leaked on a increase of it’s frequency, but the increase in power consumption could be a lead.
RTX 5070 Ti Super, leaked details :
As you know, there’s a significant gap between the current 5070 and the 5070Ti. On the basis of these leaks, this gap is unlikely to close. In fact, based on the leaks, the RTX 5070 Ti SUPER would use the same 8960-cpu GB203-350-A1 GPU as the standard RTX 5070 Ti. The difference (again?) lies in the use of higher frequencies. As with the 5070 Super, this new version benefits from the use of 3 GB memory modules. As a result, the RTX 5070 Ti SUPER could boast a generous 24 GB of VRAM, 50% more than the 16 GB available on the classic RTX 5070 Ti. Memory frequency will remain unchanged at 28 Gbit/s, providing a bandwidth of 896 GB/s with the same 256-bit memory interface. TDP jumps to 350W, compared with 300W for the “non-super” version.
RTX 5070 / Ti Super: caution and patience
Obviously, we reiterate our reminder regarding these leaks: they do not constitute definitive information. However, should they be confirmed, these two cards should, in our opinion, complement rather than replace the current RTX 5070 and 5070 Ti. Indeed, the 50% increase in VRAM should necessarily trigger a price rise. Even if we still believe in a good surprise, it seems difficult to position these cards at the same prices as their big sisters.
Here’s a quick rundown of the current and (speculatively) future RTX 50 range:
