RTX 4090s are slowly disappearing!

The RTX 4090 is hardly a card that hasn’t made its mark. On the one hand, it was the most powerful card on the market, and on the other, it was a completely fascinating spontaneous combustion model. Behind this sarcastic, but no less real, reflection lies the fact that a page was being turned. Indeed, the card is slowly disappearing from our shelves.

Unfortunately, the launch of the new generation forced NVIDIA to halt production of its card, as we reported here. Unfortunately, the end of production means that the world will have to rely on the last remaining stocks, which are gradually running out. This is particularly true in the US, where shops like Newegg are selling basic models such as Gigabyte’s Gaming version for $3,600.

But back home in France, the situation is hardly any better. At Top Achat, for example, the card has simply been removed from the site… The same goes for LDLC and materiel.net, the biggest shops in the LDLC group. However, you can still find them on Rue du Commerce, but at prices similar to those in the US: €2,350 for Gigabyte’s Gaming version, compared with €3,250 for ASUS’s TUF Gaming model.

As we’ve already mentioned, NVIDIA is preparing the ground for its RTX 5000s, which means that the shelves of RTX 4000s, and more specifically the top-of-the-range models, will be emptied. Remember that the Blackwell generation cards will be arriving at the top of the range with the RTX 5090, RTX 5080 and potentially the RTX 5070 Ti. While the announcement should be made at CES, it remains to be seen when they will be available, and it looks like there will be a few weeks’ wait before they are actually available… That’s enough time for the last RTX 4090 stocks to disappear completely!
