RTX 4080 Super: a 20GB VRAM card?

0

After the RTX 4070 Super, it’s now the turn of the RTX 4080 Super to make news. This card would follow the same regimen as the 4070 Super, with a bigger GPU, more VRAM and a larger memory bus. Once again, these are only rumors, and should be treated with caution!

RTX 4080 Super: 20 GB VRAM and 320-bit memory bus?

Once again, rumors are swirling that this new RTX 4080 may well feature a larger GPU. In fact, to fit 20 GB of VRAM, a memory bus larger than the original 256 bits is required. So, with an AD102, we could switch to a 320-bit bus to accommodate 20 GB of VRAM.

Now, the GPU configuration remains a real mystery. However, with an AD102, NVIDIA will be able to upgrade its configuration if it so wishes… Unless the aim is simply to increase VRAMcapacity..

In any case, according to VideoCardz, more details will emerge as we get closer to launch. In the meantime, all this should be taken with a grain of salt.

All that remains is to see what happens to the hypothetical RTX 4070 Ti Super, which was mentioned in a previous rumour.
