Head over to the Steam page for MGS Delta: Snake Eater, which is due for a remake in August. The game’s page has been updated and now shows the minimum and recommended system requirements for running the game, which will be running Unreal Engine 5 for the occasion! So, do you have the PC you need to run the game? Find out!

On the programme, you won’t need a high-performance PC to run the game… Well, not on the processor side at least. Konami is offering six-core models with Core i5 8600 and Ryzen 5 3600 in both minimum and recommended configurations. As for Intel, the recommended configuration will still require the addition of hyperthreading with the mention of a Core i7 8700K, but that’s it.

In terms of RAM, the advantage is that you’ll need 16 GB of memory, regardless of the graphics settings. When you see the prices charged for these capacities, you’d think that this isn’t a very expensive upgrade. Expect to pay around €30 in DDR4 , compared with €70 in DDR5 for dual channel kits.

Finally, as far as the graphics card is concerned, the publisher mentions an RTX 2060 Super 8GB as a minimum. If you opt for the recommended version, you’ll need a higher-performance card with the RTX 3080. In any case, we’re talking about RTX cards, so will ray tracing be forced in the same way as certain Bethesda games such as Indiana Jones or the future Doom? It wouldn’t be impossible.

Finally, we recommend using an SSD to reduce loading times. Konami currently states that the game will require 100GB of space, which may be increased between now and the remake‘s release. And of course, a Windows 10 or 11 system is recommended, as this is a DirectX 12 game.
