For the first time in its history, MSI’s motherboard shipments have passed the 10 million mark, a spectacular advance for the company that could tie Gigabyte in 2025. According to reports, it’s with the AMD X870 and Intel Z890 platforms that MSI’s products have stood out. For several months now, the company has been multiplying its visually appealing designs. What’s more, MSI has also decided not to focus its entire offering on the high-end. The brand has thus attempted to cover the budget motherboard segment. As a result, MSI recorded significant growth in its market share in the motherboard segment, reaching a record level in terms of motherboard shipments. Until then, the company had been well behind Gigabyte and ASUS. At the very least, it could be on par with them in 2025.

MSI is on a roll and wants to open factories in the USA

These results are encouraging the company to invest in its production facilities, notably by opening new factories in the USA, where MSI seems to be aiming for even more ambitious goals in the server market with the AI boom. But positive winds are also blowing in other product categories. Here again, the figures for the first few months of 2025 are spectacular. While the market was plunged into a certain gloom due to the uncertainty surrounding tariffs, the company nonetheless posted exceptional quarterly performances in the first half of the year, reflecting a particularly robust sales dynamic. As a result, MSI has announced a target of 2.55 million units by the end of 2025.

Not just motherboards…

Last but not least, the graphics card sector is also celebrating. MSI has announced flattering figures, reaching 5 million units sold and equaling ASUS’s market share. Given the state of the market over the last few months, it’s somewhat reassuring to see that companies are making strong progress. It’s also worth noting that, until now, many brands have been talking about sales growth, a situation that can also be correlated with general price rises. Here, MSI communicates only on volumes, which is even more remarkable.
