Worldwide shipments of monitors featuring OLED technology rose by a remarkable 78% in the first quarter of 2026 compared with the previous year. This spectacular success is primarily due to the easing of QD-OLED panel supply. The major manufacturers are benefiting greatly from the fact that production has finally stabilized and is abundant. But it’s important not to overlook another factor: hardware enthusiasts, frustrated by the outrageous prices of RAM and graphics cards, are shifting a large part of their budget to this type of purchase.
Deliveries of QD OLED panels are easing: the market is booming.
The wider availability of QD-OLED panels is enabling manufacturers to produce more, diversify their ranges and attack segments that were previously poorly covered. Under these conditions, we can say that we’re witnessing a certain market shift, with OLED monitors beginning to arrive en masse in the mid-range. These screens are becoming more accessible, with models priced at around 350 to 400 euros, while high-performance references remain significantly more expensive. As a result, for video game enthusiasts, the 27-inch QHD screen becomes the ideal choice, offering comfortable resolution, high frequency and affordability. Gamers benefit from an extremely responsive display, with sharpness far superior to previous technologies. Finally, fears about the risk of marking on OLED panels are gradually fading. While this risk still exists, it is now better controlled by software protections, slab cleaning cycles and specific warranties put forward by leading manufacturers.

The market has already accelerated sharply in 2025, with 2.735 million units shipped and 92% growth over the year, and TrendForce anticipates a further 51% increase in 2026. In other words, OLED is no longer a niche product reserved for affluent perfectionists. It is becoming a true mass-market category, even if it retains a high-end flavour.
