After unveiling its new motherboards, MSI will now be offering new graphics cards. This time it’s a limited edition model. It’s the RTX 4060 NV Edition, and 6,000 units will be produced.
RTX 4060 NV Edition, an MSI model based on the Gaming X!
This model is based on MSI’s RTX 4060 Gaming X. Visually speaking, there’s no big change from the ‘regular’ card, as this model simply features a black/green colour scheme on the casing. The same goes for the fan stickers, which are also green…
At first glance, the card doesn’t look much different from the original, apart from the visual aspect. Perhaps we’ll be entitled to slightly higher frequencies? In the meantime, if not, this model is likely to be rather disappointing. Especially as MSI has offered us much better in the past.
In particular, we remember the GTX 980 Ti Golden Edition, which not only featured copper colours, but also a completely redesigned heatsink. That’s right, the heatsink has been upgraded from aluminium to full copper, an interesting added value.
We’re curious to know how much extra this limited edition will cost. In the meantime, we know that the brand plans to produce 6,000 cards in total. It remains to be seen whether anyone will be interested, especially as MSI has not chosen the most successful of the RTX 40 series.
