RTX 4060: four cards from MSI!

MSI RTX 4060
Gaming versions

For its 4060s, MSI offers a total of four boards, with two Ventus models and two Gaming versions. In all cases, these are rather compact models, featuring a heatsink equipped with two fans. Naturally, the heatsink is adapted to the chip, and with a TDP of 115W, there’s no need to go any bigger.

As for lighting, it’s the same story, with only the bare essentials left, including an illuminated MSI logo on the edge of the Gaming X versions. Finally, a backplate completes the picture, but really nothing extravagant.

The Ventus 2X Black series

The frequencies are now known, and we have :

  • Gaming X:
    • GPU: 2610 MHz (MSI Center) – 2595 MHz boosted
    • VRAM: 17 Gbps
  • Gaming :
    • GPU: 2475 MHz (MSI Center) – 2460 MHz boosted
    • VRAM: 17 Gbps
  • Ventus 2X Black OC :
    • GPU: 2505 MHz (MSI Center) – 2490 MHz boosted
    • VRAM: 17 Gbps
  • Ventus 2X Black :
    • GPU: 2475 MHz (MSI Center) – 2460 MHz boosted
    • VRAM: 17 Gbps

Finally, none of these boards require a 12VHPWR connector. Here, a single 8-pin PCIe will be required. Finally, it’s likely that no RTX 4060 will ever see the light of day with this 12VHPWR, since NVIDIA isn’t planning a Founders Edition.

This way to MSI cards!
