New memory kits from Lexar, announcing its second-generation Thor RGB RAM. For this series, the brand is offering 128 GB kits with frequencies reaching 6400 MT/s. Clearly, Lexar does not seem to be engaged in the race for frequency, as is perhaps the case with G.Skill.

Lexar launches its second-generation Thor RGB RAM!

Lexar Thor RGB 2nd générationWith this new generation of RAM, the brand offers a more appealing aesthetic… Especially compared to its first-generation memory… But tastes and colors, you might say.

Of course, you’ll have to be careful about the size of the modules, especially with that imposing light bar mounted on the top of the module. On the heat sink, we finally find a large Thor marking, so that we can remember which series it is.

In terms of specifications, Lexar offers kits with frequencies of up to 6400 MT/s. Here, we’re in the sweet spot of what Intel and AMD processor memory controllers can handle. All the more so as these parameters are simply activated via the Intel XMP3.0 and AMD EXPO profiles. As for capacity, several sets will be offered, with 32 GB kits in 2×16 GB, 64 GB with two 32 GB strips and 128 GB via two 64 GB RAMs .

Once again, we’re only dealing with an announcement, as sales prices are not yet known. We’ll have to wait a little longer to find out.
