Even if Intel puts all the goodwill in the world into the development of its drivers, sometimes there are misfires. It’s a shame, then, that the most recent miss involves one of the biggest launches of the year: Starfield. As we’ve seen, the company missed the boat on early access to the game, which generated a fair amount of grumbling in view of the Twitter feedback. But, but, but, the rookies have finally reacted and are offering Arc Graphics GPU Driver 101.4672. The driver is finally here… Two days before the end of early access, but it’s here!
101.4672: the Intel driver for Starfield is finally here!

Of course, the big news in this driver is the addition of Starfield support for Intel graphics cards. The blueprints state:
- The size of the graphics driver package has been temporarily increased to significantly reduce the game’s loading time.
- Several instabilities and visual artifacts have been corrected with this version. Intel recommends the use of high or lower graphics presets to improve stability.
- Intel is continuing its efforts to improve the Starfield gaming experience for users of Intel Arc graphics cards.
Otherwise, in addition to Starfield, this driver release brings support for the SYNCED game.
There are also a number of Starfield-related fixes:
- Starfield loading times considerably reduced (DirectX12).
- Fixes for Starfield instabilities and in-game crashes (DirectX12).
- No more corrupted textures and flickering in-game on Starfield (DirectX12).
101,4672: Another long list of known problems!
Finally, the list of problems identified by Intel:
- Intel Arc Graphics Products:
- Still some instability problems encountered on Starfield in certain areas of the game.
- Visual corruptions can be seen when using Dynamic Resolution Scaling. A workaround: change the rendering resolution scaling value.
- Flickering may be encountered on certain light sources in Starfield.
- Low-detail textures may be encountered on Starfield.
- UNCHARTED: Legacy of Thieves may display corrupted textures on the character.
- The Halo Infinite campaign may lead to crashes on certain configurations.
- Crashes may also be encountered on Dead by Daylight.
- Topaz Video AI may encounter errors when using certain templates for video enhancement.
- Adobe After Effects may crash during rendering operations
- CG ventilation may rev up frequently on some Arc cards.
- Intel Arc Control:
- With some games, Arc Control Studio may incorrectly generate multiple video files.
- When using an HDMI connection, the “Display” page may incorrectly display DisplayPort in the “Connector” tab.
- A ” Stream already ended ” pop-up may appear after Capture/Highlights/Broadcast have been activated.
- In standby mode, performance graphs may not scale correctly.
As for Starfield, the situation is not perfect, but the game should be playable with Intel graphics cards. To download the precious sesame, click here :
