Intel continues to improve the performance of its ARC GPUs

Intel has (once again) released new drivers for its Arc Alchemist graphics cards. These promise further improvements in ARC GPU performance, particularly in certain DirectX 11 games. Intel is proceeding in the same way as it did a few months ago with a significant performance upgrade for DX9 games.

Taking its A750 card as an example, Intel claims that its recent drivers deliver an average FPS improvement of 19% since the launch driver for the Arc A750 GPU in DirectX11 games. However, to really see these gains, the games in question need to be on the whitelist provided by Intel. This list confirms that the blues are continuing to work and are doing their utmost to ensure that the number of games supported correctly is extended. In this respect, Intel is not really breaking any new ground, since its “Game On” program is based on the same mechanisms as the NVIDIA Game Ready program. Since the start of 2023, Intel has already released 30 driver updates with 57 optimized titles. Finally, Intel’s DLSS counterpart, XeSS, is now available in over 70 games.

The performance of the A750 and A770 is still very appreciable in comparison with their prices. Even compared with the new generations from competitors AMD and Nvidia.
