In the age of all things RGB, it is still surprising when a brand focuses solely on the primary purpose of its product. The AK400 from Deepcool does indeed focus on what is expected of it: cooling. And it does so with an excellent price/performance ratio as it can be found for less than 35€ if you look hard enough.
For this price, you will have more than interesting performances especially on AMD systems. Noise levels are more than reasonable in most cases. Its other interest is to be able to add some muscle to it by adding a second fan to the radiator to improve the temperatures. It is also interesting to note that our friends at guru3d were not afraid to install this fan on an i9-12900K with honorable results…Even if it will not support the overclocking of such a CPU.
Finally, an important detail is the ram compatibility of the Deepcool AK400, which is excellent as the heatsink is only 45 mm thick. Overall, the size of the cooler is very reasonable and does not even weigh 0.7 kg in total, which should not have a negative effect on the motherboard. It should be noted that the AK400 is noisy when pushed to its maximum speed (1850 rpm), but this is the case with all fans that are pushed to the limit. You can adjust the fan curve to optimize performance.
