Memory manufacturer CXMT is increasingly establishing itself as a major player in the memory sector. In fact, rumors suggest that the company has already sold its entire 2027 production output. Furthermore, in addition to its substantial future production capacity, reports indicate that the company is capable of rapidly opening new production lines.

CXMT Has Apparently Already Sold Its Entire 2027 Production!

A highly resource-intensive industry:

CXMT LPDDR5X - DDR5

Currently, there’s a race for memory as we’re seeing very strong demand for memory chips—demand that exceeds supply, driving prices upward. The sector is in need of chips—DDR5 and LPDDR5X in particular—which is why it is turning to Chinese manufacturers like CXMT. As a result, orders are pouring in, and long-term supply contracts are being signed. This is often the case with large OEMs that have significant production capacity. These companies tend to secure their long-term supply to maintain production, something that smaller brands, for example, cannot do. Among the major players are Dell, HP, and Apple.

In fact, in recent weeks, we’ve seen strong interest in CXMT memory from companies specializing inhardware. We’ve seen this with ASUS and MSI. The same goes for Lexar, which plans to produce DDR5 modules using memory from the Chinese manufacturer.

Significant expansion capacity:

Additionally, it’s reported that the Chinese company has significant expansion capacity. In fact, the company is reportedly capable of building a clean room in just 12 months, whereas manufacturers like Samsung or SK Hynix, for example, require between 21 and 24 months. As a result, the company would be able to respond more quickly to market demands. Currently, analysts indicate that CXMT could be capable of producing 350,000 wafers per month by the end of the year—at least if its current expansion plans are successfully carried out. By way of comparison, the Chinese company would be almost neck and neck with Micron, which currently produces 375,000wafers per month.

In short, give CXMT a few more years, and it’s highly likely that the company will establish itself as a major memory solution provider—even if it doesn’t venture into HBM memory.
