Corsair to launch XENEON FLEX 45WQHD240 in December

You had probably noticed Corsair’s announcement of its 45-inch 21:9 “flexible” screen that we had been able to experience at Gamescom this year, the XENEON FLEX 45″. This screen uses a LD W-OLED panel with a resolution of 3,440 x 1,440, a refresh rate of 240 Hz, a maximum brightness of 1,000 nit, a contrast ratio of 1,350,000: 1, a fast GtG response time of 0.03 milliseconds. A very high-end offering that also supports NVIDIA G-SYNC and AMD FreeSync Premium technologies.

In an official communication on its website, Corsair announces that it will start marketing this screen on December 16th in limited quantities. The price in dollar for the moment is obviously spicy since the sum of 1999 US$ is evoked. We have at this moment no indication on the price positioning which will be applied in Europe. As you noted, the particularity of this screen is to be able to play manually on the curvature of the slab and to pass thus from a completely flat screen to a curvature 800 R, at any time. It seems that for this technology Corsair, which is in partnership with LG, has an exclusivity, at least temporarily to exploit this type of slabs.
