Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III is out, and our German colleagues have put together a few reports on the title. So, which graphics card do you need to enjoy the game in the best conditions? We take a look.
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III: the RADEON are particularly at ease!
To measure the game’s performance, Computed Base opted for a high-performance configuration. This is based on a Ryzen 9 7950X3D, 32 GB DDR5 6000 MT/s and a ROG Crosshair X670E Hero motherboard. Of course, the latest drivers are installed: GeForce 546.01 for NVIDIA, RADEON Software 23.11.1 for RADEON.
As we can see, in 1080p, AMD’s cards do very well on the game. The RX 7900 XTX is ahead of the RTX 4090, while the 7900 XT does better than the RTX 4080. A little further down, in the mid-range, we have an RX 7800 XT that outperforms, while the 7700 XT almost reaches the level of the 4070 Ti!
In the entry-level segment, the RX 7600 is ahead of the RTX 4060 and RTX 4060 Ti, while the Intel Arc A770 and A750 are in last place. Only the A750 fails to reach 60 fps, for which an A770 seems to be the minimum, otherwise you’ll have to make concessions on the graphics quality of the game.
In UHD , the RX 7900 XTX rivals the RTX 4090, while the RTX4080 is once again undermined by the RX 7900 XT. However, the gap between the RTX 4080 and RX 7800 XT widens. Finally, it’s worth noting that the RTX 3080 achieves 60 FPS, while the RTX 4070 only comes close to this limit with 58.8 fps.
Last but not least, VRAM consumption appears to be correct. Clearly, a card equipped with 8 GB seems sufficient.
Here’s the benchmark from Computer Base (Germany)!
