be quiet! continues to expand its lineup of high-end power supplies with the Dark Power Pro 14 IO. This new generation is clearly aimed at the most demanding setups, whether they’re gaming PCs equipped with next-generation graphics cards, heavily overclocked machines, or workstations designed for content creation and post-production. The lineup consists of two models, with power ratings of 1,300 W and 1,600 W. It combines 80 PLUS Titanium and Cybenetics Titanium certifications, the ATX 3.1 standard, compatibility with PCIe 5.1 graphics cards, and a cooling system capable of operating in active or semi-passive mode.

A software control feature new to be quiet!

The main new feature comes from the be quiet! IO Center software. The Dark Power Pro 14 IO is thus the brand’s first power supply that can be monitored and configured directly via software.

In particular, users can switch between single-rail and multi-rail operation, as well as select between active and semi-passive cooling modes. The dashboard displays real-time information such as the power supply’s efficiency, fan speed, and power consumption.

A tool also helps estimate energy costs. It shows the cost of electricity consumed since the software was last launched, the cumulative cost since its first use, and an estimate of monthly expenses.

Up to 94.9% Efficiency

The 80 PLUS Titanium and Cybenetics Titanium certifications accompany an efficiency rating of up to 94.9%. High efficiency helps minimize energy losses and also contributes to reducing heat generation and cooling requirements.

be quiet! uses a fully digital design based on Active Rectifier full-bridge LLC technology. This is intended to ensure better regulation, high efficiency, and reduced ripple noise.

Cooling is provided by a new aluminum heatsink. In active mode, the Silent Wings fan runs continuously. In semi-passive mode, it remains off during low load and starts only when cooling demands increase. The fan is directly integrated into the heatsink to minimize vibrations. It features a 6-pole motor and a hydrodynamic bearing, designed to offer a long service life while maintaining low power consumption.

ATX 3.1, PCIe 5.1, and 12V-2×6 Connector

The Dark Power Pro 14 IO complies with the ATX 3.1 standard and natively includes a 12V-2×6 connector, designed specifically for next-generation PCIe 5.1 graphics cards. Four 6+2-pin PCIe connectors are also included to ensure compatibility with current graphics cards.

The fully mesh-covered front panel features a funnel-shaped air intake to improve airflow, even when the power supply is operating at full load.

The power supply is fully modular and comes with sleeved cables. Four sizes of cable clips are included to help organize and route the cables inside the case. This arrangement can also help improve airflow in larger builds.

Finally, be quiet! includes a comprehensive set of protections against overcurrent, overvoltage, undervoltage, short circuits, overheating, overloads, and input voltage spikes. The engineering, design, and quality control are carried out in Germany. Both models come with a 10-year manufacturer’s warranty.

The be quiet! Dark Power Pro 14 IO will be available starting September 1, 2026. The 1,300 W model will be offered at a suggested retail price of €439.90, while the 1,600 W version will be priced at €479.90.
