ASUS to present its new AM5 “NEO” motherboard series

What can we expect in terms of new hardware in 2026, when the RAM situation seems to be plunging the market into the slump? ASUS intends to take advantage of CES in the coming days to launch some interesting new products. With a short video, the brand has just announced a new range of motherboards called NEO. This range includes popular ASUS motherboard families such as the ROG, TUF Gaming and ProArt Creator series, and seems to be a kind of refresh . For the moment, the exact technical novelties that the models will bring remain unknown. At first glance, one might be tempted to think that ASUS is simply going to do what MSI has done with its MAX series: a light aesthetic refresh and new features in the bios.

So, like its competitor, ASUS should logically retain the current names of existing models and add “NEO” at the end to distinguish updated versions.

ASUS NEO: a facelift for 2026?

We also know that 2026 should be a (normally) quiet year on the processor front at AMD. The new Ryzen X3Ds(9850X3D and 9950X3D2) could also be made official at CES, and a few days ago we relayed some important updates that the Reds will be pushing on RAM (Cudimm and EXPO 1.2 support). In short, it’s perhaps on the basis of this news that ASUS will try to whet the appetites of those looking to upgrade.

The few other details circulating only confirm that the ROG Strix, TUF Gaming and ProArt series in AM5 will be concerned. We also discover a “WIFI7 NEO” display, indicating an update around connectivity with support for the latest modern wireless communication standards. There are also a few minor tweaks, including a slightly updated radiator design.
