Asus officially launches its ROG Maximus Z790 APEX

While we would have liked to have it in our hands for the launch of the Rocket Lake processors, Asus had warned us of a postponed arrival and scheduled for late October. On the day of the launch of the processors, we were able to see many scores obtained under LN2 by combining the i9-13900K and this ROG Maximus Z790 APEX. Since a few hours, this model has appeared on the official website of Asus, suggesting an upcoming arrival. It has just been listed on a German online store at a price of 949 euros. This price seems a bit high to us and should certainly be revised downwards when the cards are in stock.

As you can see on the two pictures below, the design of the PCB doesn’t change much except of course the color of the PCB and the heat sinks which change from black or metallic grey. The areas containing the overclocking tools are also slightly different. Note that the tools for overclockers have already been made available in a post on the Hwbot forum.

This morning, we are resuming a new series of tests under LN2 with the Z690 APEX while waiting for the arrival in the lab of this ROG Maximus Z790 APEX.
