Intel announces a new driver for its Arc graphics cards and iGPUs. Indeed, the company has just published its Arc GPU Graphics Driver in version 101.4255. In addition to a few fixes, we find support for Resident Evil 4 Remake.

Resident Evil 4 Remake: the game supported by Intel’s 101.4255 driver!

Resident Evil 4 Remake - Intel Arc GPU Graphics Driver 101.4255With this new driver, Intel is mainly targeting the remake version of the game Resident Evil 4. The company does so by offering support for this new Capcom title. Otherwise, there are some performance optimisations for Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy or Counter Strike Global Offensive for Arc laptop GPUs. The same goes for software, with Intel optimising the performance of D5 Render and Blender in Material Preview in viewport mode.

We also find some fixes, still divided into several categories. Thus, the brand fixes :

  • GPU Arc:
    • Corruption issues in benchmark mode on Conqueror’s Blade in DirectX 11.
    • Crash issues on Portal with Ray Tracing in Vulkan mode when loading to gameplay.
  • core i iGPU:
    • The lag or freeze issues on Overwatch 2 when launching the game in DirectX 12.
    • Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 crashes in DirectX 12 during gameplay.
  • Arc Control :
    • Arc Control Studio’s capture mode will use the correct codec selected: AVC when selected, not HEVC.
    • Using the sliders to return to default settings works. You no longer have to use the ” Reset to Default ” button to do this.

Of course, we still have a very long list of known problems. Hopefully this will be corrected in time.
