If you’re a fan of high-performance graphics, top-of-the-range components and a Platinum blue card, this new Aorus RTX 4080 SUPER Xtreme ICE should be just what you’re looking for. Initial information on this card confirms that we could be looking at a model capable of breaking a few records. In fact, this card is a limited edition (300 units only) featuring a 150 MHz factory overclock and, above all, a maximum boost frequency of 2,700 MHz. Please note, however, that the leak released on April 01 has not yet been officially confirmed.
A striking design
The Aorus RTX 4080 SUPER Xtreme ICE stands out for its sleek white aesthetic. It arrives in a bundle as exclusive as it is exciting. Quite frankly, it’s impossible not to think of an HOF series for those in the know. The combo includes the Z790X Xtreme ICE motherboard, an AORUS 1000W Platinum PG5 power supply and an AORUS Waterforce X II ICE 360. Each board will have a serial number plate (# 000 out of 300).
The “basic” board is equipped with the Windforce cooling system, featuring a trio of Bionic Shark fans. These fans have an alternating rotation mode and push the air towards a large heatsink featuring a steam chamber and several heat pipes. The AORUS GeForce RTX 4080 SUPER Xtreme ICE is equipped with an LCD screen on the edge of the fairing and features full backlighting. Obviously, those looking to afford this card will undoubtedly be using the AORUS Waterforce X II ICE 360 waterblock. For the moment, we don’t know if this is a prerequisite for maximum frequency boost.
A prize for a targeted audience
Naturally, offering the card at the heart of such a bundle is a clear indication of its cost. This graphics card is aimed at an affluent public, ready to invest to get the best of the best. Funnily enough, Aorus seems to be increasingly targeting this sector of extreme users.
