Intel is apparently planning to release yet another patch for its 13th and 14th gen Core i processors. The aim is still to combat the instability problems that plague these generations of processors. However, a spokesperson for the brand has given us some indication as to which processors are most affected.
Core i 13th and 14th gen: another patch planned, plus a few more details!
As you know, Intel’s 13th and 14th generation processors are affected by serious instabilities that appear over time… Sometimes, they are already present. This problem now has a name: ” Vmin Shift Instability “. Solving this problem has been a real obstacle course, with new basic profiles and various patches, notably last August.
In a post on a community blog, a spokesperson for the brand announced that a new patch would be rolled out in September. At the same time, a number of announcements were made concerning the brand’s products. The twelfth-generation processor is included in the list of unaffected products, as are first-generation Xeons and Core Ultra.
The 13th and 14th generation mobile processors are also on the list of unaffected products. However, we heard a very different story from a video game development studio. Finally, the non-K Core i3 and i5 don’t seem to be affected by this problem any more than that.
In any case, the best way to avoid problems is to update your motherboard BIOS. Once again, if your system is experiencing instability, blue screens and other problems, the best thing to do is to contact Intel, your reseller or your OEM for a solution.
