Despite their best efforts, the rookies were unable to correct the instability problem. Initially, they relied on more conservative bios profiles, then solved an eTVB-related concern via a new microcode. However, as we told you, this was not enough. In fact, it seems to be a widespread problem, since even the pro platforms are affected.
To this we can now add mobile CPUs. According to Matt_AlderonGames, his laptop also suffer from the same instability problems as their desktop counterparts. By this we mean crashes, blue screens and the like, albeit less frequently than on PCs.
If we are to believe the redditor in question, problems have been encountered on portable machines from ASUS, MSI, Razer and others. In his message, he refers to high-end PCs equipped with Core i9 13900HX processors, but obviously not only: other CPUs seem to be affected.
In any case, the problem is really huge, since it concerns all blue platforms: laptop, server and desktop… In other words, anything running a 13th and 14th generation Core i. For the time being, we’re still waiting for a response from Intel, which is keeping very quiet. What’s more, imagine the costs to the company if it had to compensate all its customers… Which should be the case, but for that to happen, we need to recognize that there’s a problem, or at least identify the root of the problem.
