Acer about to make AMD-based graphics cards?

For some time now, Acer has shown its desire to enter the DIY PC component market. The brand first launched itself in fans with a Frost Blade 120 which we tested. Then, the company focused on the custom graphics card sector with models signed by Intel.

Now, new rumors are surfacing and obviously the brand is looking at AMD for new products!

Towards custom AMD graphics cards by Acer?

For the time being, rumors are going around that Acer might offer custom graphics cards based on AMD GPUs. For the time being, we don’t know much about what is in the works or not. Especially since we have to keep in mind that AMD’s high-end market is already sold out. Launching an RX 7900 XT/X right now would be complicated. It is not impossible that the brand waits until the more mid-range series like the RX 7800/7700 for example.

However, it seems that these new cards will arrive this year. From there, we can only make guesses. It is not impossible that the brand exploits its BiFrost heatsink and apply it to its new cards. As a reminder, this is a fan with an axial fan and a second radial one.

As for NVIDIA, there is obviously no question of a partnership for the moment.
