While this information is clearly a rumor, we can give it a little more credence given its source, regularly the source of leaks confirmed a few weeks later. Nvidia is said to be working on a new high-end card, possibly an RTX 4080 Ti or RTX4080 SUPER for early next year.

The arrival of an additional reference between the 4080 and 4090 is, after all, relatively logical, given the considerable difference between the two cards. This RTX 4080 Ti/S should be based on the AD102 GPU (the current RTX 4080 is equipped with the AD103 GPU). At this stage, there’s no reliable information on the details of this future card. Logic would suggest, however, that this new version could feature 20 GB of GDDR6X memory, allowing it to slot in between the 24 GB and 16 GB configurations of the 4090 and 4080. However, logic seems to be a particularly fickle consideration, at least from Nvidia’s point of view…
Another rumor concerns the positioning of this next RTX. The future NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4080 Ti/S graphics card could be at the same price as the current RTX 4080. This obviously suggests that we could see an official price cut for existing RTX 4080 graphics cards (which are struggling to find takers). Another hypothesis would be the outright disappearance of the current 4080 in favor of this 4080, which would then be a Super and not a Ti, to restore a semblance of coherence to the range. But as you can see, we’re only at the beginning of the rumors surrounding this next card.
