After a short week’s vacation (for me), a lot has happened. And among them, the release of driver 101.4644 from Intel. It’s a corrective version that rectifies a number of issues, notably on the software side. Likewise, the driver brings performance gains, support for new games, etc., etc…
101.4644, new features :
Among the new features of this driver is the addition of support for new games. These are Madden NFL 24 and Wayfinder. And that’s not all: Intel has also announced new performance enhancements, as revealed here. Finally, the driver also brings a firmware update bringing improved stability, better fan behavior, patches and better HDMI compatibility for the cards.
We’ve also got a big list of patches, as follows:
- Intel Arc Graphics Products:
- Fixes crashes encountered at launch of UNCHARTED: Legacy of Thieves Collection (DirectX12).
- No more potential standby crashes.
- No more crashes during rendering on Blender 3. 6 when hardware Ray Tracing is active.
- Intel Arc Control:
- The virtual camera could fail to engage on the Camera page.
- The Release Notes page could display unformatted HTML code.
- The “sort by” option may be missing after a default application reset.
- Enabling virtual camera toggle may show it as disabled during screen capture on the Capture page.
- Screen captures and ” Capture Highlights ” can be trimmed by moving the Intel Arc Control across multiple displays.
- The ” Clean Install ” option may not be available on the Arc Driver page when upgrading to a WHQL driver.
- Switching to preview may activate incorrectly when the camera is already being used by the Windows Camera application.
- Power consumption will no longer be higher than expected in standby or hibernate mode when the Intel Arc Control application is installed.
- Background blur will now be accentuated from 50% to 100% with a virtual camera.
- The on-screen camera may not appear when capturing games in full screen mode.
- The last captured image may persist on the camera preview after disconnecting the camera.
