ASUS has been working on luxury graphics cards for the Middle East with its Dahab series. We know that two models are planned, an RTX 5080 and an RTX 5090 Astral Dahab. Until now, the cards have been announced, but not marketed… Until now, that is, because the RTX 5090 is now on sale, with prices in excess of $7000. But it should also be pointed out that ASUS uses up to 6.5g of gold!

RTX 5090 Astral Dahab: 6.5g of gold!

ASUS RTX 5090 ROG Astral Dhahab EditionWith this card, ASUS is offering us a top-of-the-range model aimed at Middle Eastern countries. As we said earlier, this model features Arabic script on the casing and skyscrapers on the backplate. There are also emerald accents on the fairing – in short, Middle Eastern luxury.

The card, the RTX 5090, has also appeared on sale at some retailers at exorbitant prices. It costs between 26,000 and 30,000 Saudi riyals, 5,000 Jordanian dinars and 388,000 UAE dirhams. After conversion into dollars, the bill comes to between $7100 and $10600, depending on the country and the shop.

Compared with these bills, the MSRP of the RTX 5090 pales into insignificance, coming very close to describing it as a cheap card. However, there’s a twist, as the ASUS Dahab version is already being produced in a limited series. And as we all know, limited editions carry a higher price tag. But on top of that, the card is plated in 999 gold. On the card’s certificate of authenticity, ASUS states that it uses 6.5g of gold. At current prices, that’s no less than $700 in gold alone.

At least, the advantage is that after a few years, the card will be worth at least its weight in gold. And as we all know, gold is a safe investment that serves as a refuge. Now the problem will be getting hold of a card, and unless you have a stopover in one of the countries where it’s available, that’s going to be complicated!
