NVIDIA deploys a new small patch in speed with its 537.09 Hotfix driver. Its purpose is to correct the mess on Ratch & Clank Rift Apart. Lately, users have been experiencing fluctuating performance.
537.09 Hotfix: NVIDIA’s patch for Ratchet & Clank Rift Apart!
Where things went wrong was with DirectStorage and certain in-game settings. Interactions between the two led to performance fluctuations and, as you’d expect, yo-yo framerates and randomly long loading times. This new version of the driver puts things back in order.
So if you have an NVIDIA card and play R&T, it’s a good idea to update your driver. Otherwise, you’ll have to make do with 536.99 WHQL, which did quite a bit. These include support for new titles, new GeForce Experience settings and a number of fixes.
AMD also had to release a driver outside the classic naming scheme with 23.20.23.03. This patch solved Ray Tracing concerns, while the 1.808.0.0 update to the game brought support for RADEON cards.
