saltycroissant, a Canadian overclocker, boasts the world’s number-one RAM frequency. In fact, he pushed his V-Color Manta Xfinity RGB memory to a crazy 12,351 MT/s!

Lately, memory frequency records have been coming thick and fast… In October, we learned that DDR5 was breaking the 12,000 MT/s mark, then in November we went up to almost 12,200 MT/s. Now, thanks to a Canadian overclocker, we’re up to 12,300 MT/s!

For its performance, the clocker opts for a memory kit from the V-Color catalog. The kit used was a 24 GB Manta Xfinity RGB. During the exercise, the kit was able to reach 12,351 MT/s. Unfortunately, the HWBot data sheet doesn’t say much about the kit’s parameters in operation. We do know, however, that liquid nitrogen was used for cooling.

Otherwise, as far as the CPU is concerned, a Core Ultra 9 285K is used. The latter, also cooled by liquid nitrogen, ran on only 4 cores (2P/2E) at a frequency of 400 MHz.

Finally, the motherboard used here was an ASRock model: the Z890 Taichi OCF, a reference designed for overclocking. To find out more about it, we’ve posted an unboxing article at this address.
