Since the launch of Intel’s 14th generation processors, many world records have been broken. Most recently, we had a frequency record >9 GHz, now new single-core and memory frequency records have fallen. What do these new scores have in common? The motherboard, a Z790 Aorus Tachyon X!

Z790 Aorus Tachyon X: records already set!

Gigabyte Z790 Aorus Tachyon XAs you can see, the board in question is a series specially designed foroverclocking. As a reminder, it’s a model with a host of functions linked to the practice. Likewise, we find a number of buttons for adjusting certain out-of-box parameters, without having to go through the bios… While we only find two DDR5 memory slots.

In short, Gigabyte is communicating its latest achievements with this model. As a result, it has set the following world records:

  • Memory frequency: 11618 MT/s (HiCookie)
  • Cinebench R23 single-core: 3160 cb (HiCookie)
  • Geekbench 6 single-core: 4217 pts (HiCookie)
  • 3DMark06: 144979 pts (TEAM.AU)
  • 3DMark05: 119030 pts (TEAM.AU)

Note that for 3DMark scores, the graphics card used was a GTX 1080 Ti. As for the rest, of course, liquid nitrogen was used to cool the CPU. Once again, the processor is not fit to be thrown away, even after a spell in the cold.

In the meantime, we’ve got some great performance here!
