New motherboard for the Biostar brand with its Z690A-Silver. A new model in ATX format for 12th generation Intel Core i processors. Moreover, the power supply part seems solid thanks to the use of Dr.Mos in 70A.
Z690A-Silver: what do we have here?
With this new card, Biostar offers us a new model in ATX format. The latter is composed of a LGA-1700 socket and a Z690 chipset, so we can start overclocking. Speaking of which, we know that this model has a power supply that uses 70A Dr.Mos. However, the number of phases is not specified.
Otherwise, the card features four DDR4-5000 memory slots for up to 128 GB of RAM. The PCIe part has a first PCIe x16 5.0, a second PCIe x16 4.0 (wired in x4) and two small PCIe x1 3.0. Finally, the storage section has eight SATA III and three M.2, two of which are PCIe 4.0 x4 and one PCIe 3.0 x4.
Finally, the I/O connectivity features three video outputs with DVI, HDMI and DisplayPort. There’s also a PS2 combo, two USB 2.0 and six USB 3.2 Gen2, one of which is Type-C. Finally, there are two antenna ports, Realtek RTL8125B for Ethernet and Realtek ALC1220 for audio.
