ASRock Z690 Taich Razer EditionRoughly speaking, we find a Taichi in Z690 offering the same features, but with a different design. Indeed, the card displays elements with the effigy of Razer, particularly on its covers and radiators. Gone are the gear and other designs. Moreover, the Chroma lighting technology has been implemented in the card. This makes it compatible with the snake brand’s peripherals.

In addition to this, we find a high-end motherboard with a solid power supply. According to Guru3DAccording to the manufacturer, we can count on 20 power supply phases with 105A SPS and 90A chokes. Everything is integrated on an 8-layer PCB and the CPU has two 8-pin EPS12V connectors.

Otherwise, Alder Lake-S platform obliges (although some cards are in DDR4), we have the right to four memory slots in DDR5. These will take 6400+ MHz RAM with 128GB capacity modules.

For PCIe, there are three x16 connectors. The first two work with the 5.0 standard. When used, they will work as follows: x8/x8/x4 (in PCIe 4.0). Finally, a small PCIe x1 3.0 completes the package.

For the storage part, ASRock uses six SATA III connectors that are compatible with RAID 0, 1, 5 and 10 modes, and three M.2 are included, two of which are in PCIe 4.0 x4 and one in SATA III. RAID is also supported for the latter, however, in modes 0, 1 and 5.

We quickly finish with the rear connectivity of the motherboard. This one includes Thunderbolt 4 via USB Type C. Similarly, there is WiFi, dual Ethernet and 7.1 sound or USB 3.2 Gen2.
