The war between screen manufacturers is raging to see who will have the Ultimate OLED model! While initial reports were of a Samsung monitor operating at 500 Hz, we now have a competitor, ViewSonic, entering the fray. ViewSonic is said to be working on a 520 Hz model, 20 Hz faster than Samsung, but still enough to claim the title of fastest OLED screen on the market!

ViewSonic wants to offer the world’s fastest OLED screen!

ViewSonic 520 Hz OLED

When it comes to screens, OLED technology is gradually making its way into the world of PCs. It has a number of advantages, including high contrast ratios. However, it is still very expensive, especially for high resolutions and/or high frequencies. At 520Hz, you can’t imagine how much it will cost… Well, yes, it’s likely to be in the region of the minimum wage.

With this new monitor, ViewSonic is offering a reference similar to Samsung’s… At least in terms of specifications. We’re expecting a model equipped with a 27″ OLED panel and a QHD (2560×1440) resolution. The frequency is well known, a massive 520 Hz, which should ensure smooth operation. Last but not least, we’ll be treated to a latency of 1 ms MPRT, and AMD FreeSync Premium Pro will be included.

While other specifications are not known, we do know that we will be able to enjoy deep blacks, vivid colours and a high contrast ratio, inherent in OLED technology.

Now that we know it will be an OLED screen, it remains to be seen where the manufacturer will source it from. The question is whether it will be a Samsung panel or an LG model.

Whatever the case, this ViewSonic OLED monitor should be present at the CES show in early 2025… Like the Samsung model, in fact.
