Although AMD has presented the Ryzen 9 9950X3D and 9900X3D, they are still not commercially available. For these two top-of-the-range models, we’ll have to wait a little longer, although they have made a brief appearance on the Internet. In fact, Newegg temporarily displayed them on its site, and the prices were also listed by PCPartPicker.
Ryzen 9 9950X3D and 9900X3D: prices posted then withdrawn!

Despite the short time the prices were available, VideoCardz still managed to capture the prices of these processors. The results show that these processors were priced very close to the previous generation. The 9950X3D was priced at $699, compared with $599 for the Ryzen 9 9900X3D. As a reminder, their counterparts based on the Zen 4 architecture benefited from equivalent prices.
Finally, compared to the Ryzen 7 9800X3D, we find a certain consistency in pricing, with Ryzen 9s being billed at a higher price. It remains to be seen how this will play out in practice. Yes, although the 9800X3D was officially launched at $479, it doesn’t come in under $565 at the very least. So it remains to be seen whether the other models in the X3D range will be subject to price inflation.
As a reminder, these two new processors have a total of sixteen and twelve cores with hyperthreading. In terms of frequency, the two CPUs should reach 5.7 GHz in turbo mode, while the total amount of cache (L2 L3 3D V-Cache) will be 144 MB for the 9950X3D, compared with 140 MB for the 9900X3D. Yes, that’s one of the special features of this series: a larger L3 cache thanks to the famous 3D V-Cache memory.
In the case of the 9800X3D, this translates into an explosion in gaming performance. For these two models, there should be an improvement, although this remains to be seen on a case-by-case basis. To find out what could go wrong, we have an excellent article at this address explaining why the 8-core model is generally better than its 16 and 12 core counterparts.
