With a launch date of September 6, it’s clear that copies of the RX 7700 XT have already been sent to the press. Twitter leaker HXL then shares a GPU-Z capture showing off the card’s features… And gives us an indication of its performance on 3DMark Time Spy.

RX 7700 XT: 17,000 pts on Time Spy!

As a reminder, this model is positioned in AMD’s enthusiast segment. The card features a Navi 32 GPU with 54 compute units, 3456 stream processors, 216 TMUs and 96 ROPs. Memory is similar to that of the RX 6700 XT, with 12 GB GDDR6 and a 192-bit memory bus. Last but not least, bandwidth reaches 432 GB/s, thanks to 18 Gbps VRAM.

As a result, we can count on HXL to give us a vague idea of the card’s performance on 3DMark Time Spy. In this test, the leaker claims that the card achieves 17,000 pts. Broadly speaking, it falls between the RX 6800 non-XT and the RX 6800 XT, although closer to the non-XT, just below the RTX 4070.

For the moment, there’s no indication of the performance achieved by its big sister, the RX 7800 XT. Nevertheless, we can already expect a card slightly above the RX 6800 XT… But by a short head, it seems.

Last but not least, the price of the 7700 XT was announced at $449, i.e. $50 less than the RX 7800 XT. As we said at the start of this article, the launch date is September 6.
