If you’re an avid overclocker, you’ll no doubt be familiar with the ‘APEX’ series from ROG, which represents the very best in overclocking from ASUS. While this series has been used on Intel motherboards on numerous occasions, until now there has been no APEX on an AMD chipset. Well, the rumour that has been circulating for several weeks is finally a reality: the ROG Crosshair X870E APEX is here!
True to its specifications, this new APEX in AMD mode retains all the advantages of the Intel models, in particular the presence of two memory slots to optimise memory overclocking performance. It also includes a series of tools dedicated to overclocking, as found on the Crosshair X870E Hero. ASUS has also confirmed the arrival of a Crosshair X870 Extreme.
This ROG Crosshair X870E APEX features two PCIe 5.0 16x slots, three PCIe 5.0 M.2 slots with M.2 Q-Latch technology and two PCIe 4.0 M.2 slots via the ROG DIMM.2 card, which is inserted right next to the two memory slots.
And this new ROG Crosshair X870E APEX is already the talk of the town, having already broken a whole series of records in the hands of Safedisk. Although we don’t yet know its price, this model dedicated to overclocking will be available this first quarter.
