When the AMD Threadripper 7000 processors were launched, Asus took the opportunity to launch a new motherboard. At that time, ASUS announced its Pro WS TRX50-Sage, a premium model designed for these processors. Today, thanks to @momomo_us, we have a sneak preview of the board’s price: around $1100!
Pro WS TRX50-Sage: a high price!
With this model, we’re clearly dealing with a high-end card. It features an SP6 socket and a TRX50 chipset. It also boasts a total of four DDR5 memory slots capable of tanking 1TB of RAM. Likewise, it can handle the large 96-core Threadripper Pro 7995WX without a hitch.
Connectivity features three PCIe 5.0 x16, while the other two are 4.0 standard. For storage, we can count on SlimSAS, four SATA and three M.2.
In short, this is clearly a card designed for workstation/professional use, so the price is in line with both usage and product range. That’s why it comes in at just under $1100. Now it remains to be seen what the price will be in euros.
