AMD has released a new driver, 23.40.02.03, a version that’s not part of the classic pattern… And with good reason: it’s a corrective version for Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League!
23.40.03.02: what’s in the driver for Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League?
Basically, this new version is based on the recently released 23.1.1. So we’re entitled to all the optimizations, support and additions associated with that version. However, it does add support for Suicide Squad, of course, as well as a game-specific patch:
- Correction of corruptions observed on SQ when ray tracing is active!
Otherwise, the list of known issues remains unchanged, with :
- Longer loading times may be observed on Deathloop with cards like RX 6900 (fix in sight for 24.2.1).
- Dead Space may crash after applying RTAO on cards like RX 6800.
- Excessive stuttering can be observed during the first match in Overwatch 2 (fix in sight for 24.2.1).
- Still some audio/video desync problems when recording via the driver with the AV1 codec (fix in sight for Q2).
- A green tint can be displayed with the Oculus Rift S with the RX 7000.
- With a reboot, the Parsec host application may crash with certain cards, such as the RX 7900 XTX (fix in sight for 24.2.1).
- On Teams, the camera may display images in a loop with certain products such as the Ryzen 7 7840U.
