Yesterday saw the announcement of AMD’s Threadripper 7000 processors. The company took the opportunity to offer us new CPUs, but also a new platform. In short, Noctua reacted swiftly, unveiling two new fans. These are the NH-U14S TR5-SP6 and NH-D9 TR5-SP6, plus a mounting kit.

NH-U14S TR5-SP6: a 140 mm push/pull!

Noctua NH-U14S TR5-SP6The NH-U14S TR5-SP6 is an imposing single-tower cooler in 140 mm format. It is topped by two NF-A15 fans operating at up to 1,500 rpm. At full throttle, the airflow is substantial: 82.52 CFM and a static pressure of 2.08 mmH2O.

However, the big changes have been made to the base, which has been greatly enlarged! Its dimensions now cover the entire IHS of a Threadripper 7000, covering all hot spots.

The radiator measures 150 (W) x 52 (D) x 165 (H) mm without fans. Weight is significant, at 797g without fans. There are six 6 mm copper heat pipes and a total heat exchange surface of over 6000 cm².

You can buy this model for €129.90.

The NH-D9 TR5-SP6: a 92 mm double turn!

Noctua NH-D9 TR5-SP6Clearly, the NH-D9 is a compact model equipped with two fans. Dimensions are reduced to 95 (W) x 95 (D) x 134 (H) mm without fans. Weight is also reduced: 584g without fans.

However, even if it doesn’t look like much compared to the imposing NH-U14S, its dimensions will enable it to fit into 4U rack servers. What’s more, it also features an extended copper base, even though the number of heat pipes is reduced to 4.

Here, ventilation is provided by two NF-A9 HS-PWMs with operating speeds of up to 2000 rpm. At full power, airflow is 56.6 CFM, while pressure rises to 2.28 mmH2O.

Price: €119.90!

NM-TR5-SP6: an assembly set!

Last but not least, the brand’s new mounting kit. Comprising two arms and four screws, it will enable you to adapt existing cooler to this new AMD platform. You’ll be able to mount the following cooler on these Threadripper 7000s:

  • DX-4677
  • DX-4189
  • DX-3647
  • TR4-SP3

All this, for a price of €19.90.
